Blancpain GT Series 2018 – Simtechpro

Several Simtechpro collaborators pilots have participated in various competitions last weekend, like the first endurance Cup test within the Blancpain GT Series 2018, with 7 Spanish pilots on the grill and with the triumph of Alex Riberas, Christopher Mies and Dries Vanthoor at the wheel of one of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 of WRT.
The race was held at the Monza Autodrome with changes in the rating system now based on the average. Miguel Molina took the pole followed to 8 thousandths by the Jaguar of Emily Frey and Reiter sneak in with his Lamborghini Gallardo, in addition to the winner the Audi #1 of WRT.
New models of cars were presented as the new Bentley Continental GT3 and the Nissan GT-R GT3, although the Nissan had problems and had to take the exit from the pitlane for technical problems. Miguel Molina dominated at the beginning of the race followed by the Jaguar. Mercedes cars showed a great rhythm that Alex Riberas suffered being replaced before the last hour of race by Dries Vanthoor. The strategy turned out because when all had already gone by boxes and with one more Virtual Safety Car before, Vanthoor reached the second position, just three seconds behind from the Mercedes leader piloted by Maximilian Götz both risking the victory. At 33 minutes before the race the Belgian driver took advantage of the traffic to overtake out of the track limits forcing the direction of track to Return the position, after this, he tried it again this time touching the car, and had to give up the first poisiton definitively.

The next meeting of Blancpain GT Series will take place on May 5 and 6 at Brands Hatch, being the next resistance appointment at Silverstone two weeks later.
12H de Navarra – Simtechpro

Also held this weekend the 12h of Navarre where the Barcelona driver Isaac Tutumlu had another outstanding performance at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS Car Collection Motorsport, which shared with Ali Çapan, Dirg Parhofer and Peter Schmidt who got the fourth Position in the A6-Am category and ended up in the eighth absolute position. Isaac Tutumlu concluded the 12h of Navarre with a very positive result in this test that counts towards 24h GT Championship series ending eighth absolute. Tutumlu drived almost six of the twelve hours of which the race consisted with an Audi R8 LMS shared with the Turk Ali Çapan and the Germans Dirg Parhofer and Peter Schmidt.
