On 27, 28 and 29 September, the Barcelona Speed Festival was held at the Circuit de Barcelona, an annual event that is held on these dates with more than 250 spectacular vehicles participating in the weekend trials. Simtechpro has been participating as part of the collaboration with the Maria de Villota Legacy Initiative, offering two SIMPRO racing simulators for the festival attendees, where all the incomes will be fully dedicated to finance the Legacy Foundation.
In this fourth edition everybody was able to enjoy the Blancpain GT Series universe with an impressive spectacle both on and off the track. With 15 free and qualifying rehearsals offering continuous activity, with strong point throughout the weekend offered by Blancpain GT Serieswith the final runs of the Endurance Cup and also the GT Sports, in addition to the two parallel championships, the Porsche Carrera Cup France and Benelux and Formula Renault Eurocup.
In addition to the good atmosphere, we had the pleasure of having on track several of our partner pilots including Andy Soucek (Bentley Continental GT3) the official ambassador of the Legado María de Villota, Alex Riberas (Audi R8 LMS GT3) & Albert Costa who got the most important victory of his career contributing to the victory of Lamborghini, and being also key to the victory of his teammates Matteo Malucelli and Andrea Caldarelli who took the titles of the Blancpain GT Endurance series and the all-time title of the European Blancpain.
Simtechpro has once again been at the forefront of the competition, offering its simulator rental service for events, although in this case was an altruistic way to collaborate with the Legacy of Maria de Villota. We hope they count on us for next events.
